Nepalese Cup in English Land

It was a Sunday morning, with 28 teams from Nepalese community all set to kick off a football tournament at Reading in English ground of Palmer’s Park Sport Stadium, organized by Greater Reading Nepalese Community.

Really it was a wonderful participation from the Nepalese teams classified under Veteran and Non Veteran Category. The boys had managed to practice the game amidst the busy schedule of British life. ‘During the practice we had focussed on discipline and training time’ recalls Binod Shrestha, the team manager and coordinator of Pasa Pucha Team.

During the final match, Sahara UK Club beat Pasa Pucha Guthi UK by 2-0.

It’s just not about winning or losing but the spirit of participation and engagement in sports is of utter importance in such events. After all it was a good effort by the organizers and all the players. So, hats off to all of them!
